Default Looking for employment in Middle/East TN

Hi, I am new to these forums, I am very impressed so far with the knowledge on here! I went to college in the Chattanooga area and absolutely loved the city. My family lives in northern Mississippi and I am living here for now trying to find a higher paying job and kind of get my life started. I graduated with a degree in marketing, and as I have found out for over a year now, as well as reading on these boards, that the job market for someone like myself in Chattanooga is very rough. I am more of a smaller city kinda guy personally, which may seem somewhat ironic with my marketing/business area of "expertise".

Any suggestions out there for outlying areas in Middle or East Tennessee that I could possibly even find employment with? I'm not opposed to a larger community like Chattanooga/Knoxville, I just probably wouldnt reside in the cities themselves. I'm not asking for much money starting out, honestly I think finding a job that paid 30k a year shouldnt be as hard as it has been. I am talking to a company in Calhoun GA but would much rather move back out to Tennessee.

Thanks for some help, it is much needed and appreciated!

You will probably have more luck in the marketing field in the Nashville, Knoxville, or Tri-Cities areas because the towns are a little larger with more and bigger companies. However, if you are looking for a smaller town to live in, I would try doing some research on the larger corporations in those towns - they typically have marketing departments. The Morritown area has a lot of industry which possibly might have a need for marketing departments or you could try the cable companies, phone companies, Verizon, etc...
