Need honest opinions about the fishermans cabins at Fall Creek Falls. On prior visits, I have always camped in a tent. Looking to rent a cabin this time. Was considering the fisherman cabin in the park until I read some scary reviews about unsanitary conditions. Anyone stay there recently?

Fall Creek Falls is my favorite park in Tennessee!!

The only reason I would stay in the lakeside cabins at Fall Creek Falls is if I wanted to go fishing off my balcony (which is pretty fun). Otherwise, the landside cabins are wonderful. If it were me, I'd much rather stay in a landside cabin than a lakeside cabin at Fall Creek Falls.

Stayed in them multiple times over the last 30 years...landside and lakeside and lodge...however it's been about 2 years since we last did.

I've never had any issues with sanitation there. However, over the years, maintenance has been an issue...it seems to go in spells. Maybe tied to state budget, park superintendent, I don't know.

Didn't they just do a lot of work on that park, such as renovations? Or do I have this confused with another state park?

We checked there for our upcoming camping trip next week (well, online, anyway) but as the site said that some of the park/site would be unavailable due to construction, we chose another park. Maybe some time in the future, though.

That was 07
From what I counted in 08 when I was there.. Theres at least 6 sites with in the park and each site has 15-20 camp sites.. Look at a park map..
Then just up the road is Crossville 30 miles and Cumberland Mountain State Park.. both parks have cabins..

Wow. The site hasn't been updated since 07? That's strange... and probably cost them some more revenue as well.
