Default Tennessee Videos

Some of you might be familiar with Tennessee Crossroads. It's a program produced by the local PBS station here in Nashville. They travel all over the state and do little segments on interesting or somewhat interesting things (sorry, I don't really need to see another show on a country store).

They started putting some of the segments online. You can see a few here: Tennessee Crossroads::May 2007 (broken link)

(mbmouse: I thought this was okay to post, since WNPT is a semi-government entity. Sorry if I'm wrong.)

It's fine.
Actually thanks for posting it, they have GREAT info about TN in those shows. I have seen several episodes, they are great.

Do you get the show over there in East Tennessee on one of the PBS stations?

Yeppers!
And Tim Cable from Channel 5 (?) does "Cable country" where he does bits about different little East TN towns, or local restaurants, every week.
We also have a segment on Sunday afternoons channel 11 called something like "one tank of gas" that is all about different places to visit on less than one tank of gas around the Tri-Cities.

WNPT has produced some nice programs. Have any of you seen Beautiful Tennessee or Tennessee Town Squares?

It's amazing that Clarksville (my hometown) looks the way it does now. After the tornadoes it looked like one of the cities in Europe you see in films after WWII. Clarksville was one of the town featured on Tennessee Town Squares (not surprising since the director of that is from Clarksville too); unfortunately, it wasn't one of the better segments.
