I want to thank everyone for their generous input. I've made 2 trips to Tn. since my first post and couldn't find what I was looking for in my price range housewise, so I decided to just buy some land for now. I bought a piece of property last Feb. in NE Alabama, but I got laid off from my job 7 months later--it is now up for sale because I'm still looking for work! I haven't given up the hope of finding my dream piece of real estate in Tn. or NE Alabama and I still welcome any comments anyone may have.
