Stating a proven statistical reality does not make one a racist. It makes them a realist. Crime rates are statistically higher and property values are measurably lower in areas with high minority populations. Stating a quantifiable fact may not be politically correct and may cause the pc croud to twist their hankies with angst, but stating a fact does not equal racism.

Default akm4

Thank you for bringing us back to the original topic of the thread. I've always found your comments to be open, honest and thoughtful. It's interesting to read other people's comments. It's not always predictable, but then in some ways it is. I expected to find comments from some specific contributers when I saw the title of the thread. I was not disappointed. I appreciate your candor.

Tawes is on a distinguished road
Hi~
I 'm thinking of a job at Austin Peay State University. Can anyone share any artsy, historic, or gay friendly area near or around the university. Within a 30 minute drive would be nice.

Thanx!

Forgot to mention I'm a single parent of two sons, 7 & 14. So, a yard is necessary!

Thanks Again!

mbmouse? Would you take a minute and explain?

Thanks!
You must have said something that was offensive to gays, non-whites, illegal immigrants, or something along those lines. Because flaming, stereotyping and bashing of everyone else except those groups is allowed and accepted here.

I have also heard that Roanoke, Va. is gaining a reputation as the San Francisco of the Blue Ridge. You would also like Traverse City, Michigan if you can stand the winters.
