Thank you!!
I should PM this info, but posting here, even though it is off topic, I think everyone should read the explanation.
I, nor any other moderator, am trying to end free speech nor do we delete because we as individuals disagree with a post. We try to keep the boards informative, friendly, and on topic. Amk4, I deleted yours and I_Brennus posts as you both posted explanations/arguments of your points of your earlier posts and the thread started to veer off to a topic of definitions of "racist" and "stereo typing" when the original poster asked a question of gay friendly towns in TN.
The administrator/owners of this board have asked us moderators to end/delete arguments/"flame wars", insulting posts, racists/bigoted remarks and to give out infractions and/or ban those who break the rules of this forum. If one receives enough infraction points, the system automatically bans a user. In this instance, I did not give any infractions as it was obvious you both just felt strongly of your opinions, and there is nothing wrong with that, it is just that there is a time and place for everything, this was not the time or place for that conversation between you both. Nor is this the thread for any one to give there opinion on the right or wrong of being Gay or not, this is a thread about someone looking for a gay friendly town. It is my job as a moderator to keep it to that subject.
I hope that answered your question? Sorry I didn't answer sooner but I was enjoying Christmas with my family and I am unable to read all posts eveyday.
Merry Christmas!

Moderator cut: no personal attacks

Back to the subject- there are many areas that would be comfortable for you and your family. While Williamson Co. is known as a conservative area, I know several families in Franklin headed by gay parents. Two of them own businesses and have no problems.

Hillsboro Village in Nashville is also a place to try, or Sylvan Park.

Good luck!
