Ghostinthemachine76, I would leave the travel trailer....Even if it doesn't get that bad, theres still the threat of tornadoes and flooding once it makes landfall. We lived down there for 5 years and always got prepared no matter how weak or strong a tropical storm was.

That is very sound advice. It is much wiser to error on the side of caution when it comes to something as unpredictable as these storms have the potential to be. I would advise making arrangements for more suitable shelter arrangements ASAP.

Default Does South Florida have a Ghost Face????

Satellite pic of Hurricane Alex. Could that ghost face in S. Florida be the face of Alex?

Is there any need for concern driving I-10 tomorrow through the state -- east to west? Mainly worrying about gas availability or road flooding? Should they put it off a day or so?

In a hotel now. No point in being stupid Just hope the trailer will survive it.

^ very good move. no need to risk safety. Even a CAT1 storm can spin off tornadoes and Trailers don't fair well in tornadoes.

Still have your "kit" with you in the Hotel as they could loose power etc... and you want plenty of H2O and some food items.

Hopefully it won't be too bad heavy winds and rain and passing quickly!

Good luck.
