Default Plants at the Texas border?

Quick question - we are relocating to Texas from California (isn't everyone?). Has anyone made this drive and will I be allowed to bring my potted plants across the borders in between these states (Arizona/New Mexico/Texas)? They are all legal plants - none of that funny stuff. But I know that in my move from Washington state to California I could not bring plants or fruit into California - in order to protect the agriculture. Thank you!

I've never been stopped and checked crossing ANY state border. Of course I've only driven through about 30 states. You gotta realize, Kalifornia just isn't a regular place so they do things out of the ordinary.

I brought my potted azaleas, gardenias and star of jasmine in the moving truck when we came. Other than not thinking that they would freeze on the way here (we came in January), they made it here fine and we didn't have any trouble. They did bounce back and are actually thriving here in Fort Worth.

There aren't any checkpoints like the Ag inspections that are here and Hawaii on the way.

Good luck in your move and safe travels!!

The only state boarder I have been stopped at was going into California...nowhere else.

You should be fine.

I have been to most of the lower 48, and ONLY stopped in Calif. No other state stops you at the border. You should be just fine.
