Enough discussion of national politics. It's not on topic for this thread and it's not on-topic for this forum.

On a lighter note, I just updated the name of the show in the title. It's officially a 2-word title. Searching for it online as a one-word title gets you a movie from the 80s and not this TV show. Might as well spell it correctly and make it easier to find here, too.

I don't know why hollywood or the media would need to do that for any place. Just be yourself. I don't see exaggerated accents for CSI Miami or any of the Law and Orders.

I think it started a little slow, but the previews for the upcoming episode look intense. I will check it out.

The only scene where I recognized anything local was the now vacant Garland Shopping Center where he met up with his dad. Anyone else recognize any other filming locations? His wife's or girlfriend's street?

From what I've read, this show didn't get very good ratings (opposite Dancing With the Stars, IIRC), isn't generating much interest online and may not last very long on the schedule. (http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2010/...call-it-quits/)That'd be a shame, since some of its stars apparently moved to Texas and it's likely employing Texans since it's being produced in the state.

Oh, that is a shame. I'm surprised it didn't do any better in the ratings. I thought it was a lot better than some of the drivel that it's up against.

I know someone who worked as an extra for episode 104 and from what she tells me the network loves it.

That's too bad. From what I hear the most important aspect of the ratings is how much of the audience the show can retain from its lead in. Lone Star did not not retain much of House's audience. Unless it moves to a new time slot, it is probably done.
