Let's be clear here, the Texans' team dominated the Cowboys first team in the preseason game. The Texans had just got embarrassed by New Orleans the week before, so the Texans took out their frustrations on the next opponent, which happened to be the Dallas Cowboys. But like I said, the Cowboys did not control the Texans yesterday. They beat themselves. There was no fight in the team from any phase (save for Foster), there was dumb penalties, etc. They should be ashamed to put forth a such a sorry, low caliber performance in front of their hometown fans. But, we're 4-1 all time against Oakland, and I'm sure the team knows how the city feels towards them right now and will come back and win big in Oakland. Then, be right back at home for games against the Giants and Chiefs (who are this year's version of the 2009 Broncos).

And its easy to figure out why. There are no where near as many Texans fans as Cowboys fans. The more fans you have, the more classless fans you have. Its a direct correlation.

Not really. The Steelers and Packers have a boat load of fans, and I don't find them as arrogant as Cowboys fans. The Cowboys seem to attract the lowest of the low for football "fans" (in quotations as there are a ton of bandwagon Cowboys fans). The Lakers and Yankees also have a ton of bandwagon fans.

Never been to Pittsburgh or the Upper Midwest have you? They have just as many obnoxious fans. Everyone does. Its not unique to the Cowboys. Being from LA, I know just as many obnoxious Laker fans.

This week, Texans fans have proven they can be just as obnoxious as Cowboys fans can be. Texans fans dont make as much noise because there is not nearly as many of them.

You can sense the hate from the OP, so therefore I think it's reasonable to assume that the OP was looking at this game as it was HIS (mini) Superbowl.

The fact that you are on here relentlessly defending the loss of the Texans with post after post of excuses about poor execution and such is much more telling than you know. The Cowboys were the better team yesterday <period>. And that's what gameday is all about, who is the better team on that day. Making excuses is petty and pretty sad.

You obviously were very upset with the loss, but you really should move on. The Texans have a fine team, and as good a shot at the SB as anyone.

I for one will root for them in the SB if they are playing anyone but Dallas.

Yes, even though I'm not a Dallas fan, I will root for my area team come that time, even though I doubt that they will get there.

The Monday after gameday is always the day to vent if your team loses. Still, why is it only me that should move on if others are discussing the game from their team's point of view as well?

F A I L

Go back and re-read. It was all tongue n cheek as I posted later. I just wanted to talk smack for the purposes of the rilvalry. Depsite what I posted to get debate started I predicted the Cowboy's would win this game because their season was on the line. The Texans just came off of two huge victories in weeks one and two so I knew we were in for a let down. And trust me, it was not my min-superbowl. Quite Frankly beatin the colt's meant way more due the divisional importance of that game. We are 2-1 and in good position to stay in the thick of the playoff race.

But I love talking Smack to the Dallassites, lighten up. It's just a game. Ya'll getting all pissy. You beat us and deserve to talk smack. But it's a long season and the Smack will go on till the end. One game don't make a season.

So we didn't get the best of the Texans? I'm sorry. That's a bunch of bologna and you're coming out with more excuses whether you want to believe it or not. You ran for over 100 yards (first back to do so in a very long time), and you are touting that your receiver had an average day. Just let it go. Houston was outcoached and outplayed yesterday. It happens. And now I'm seeing that the Cowboys didn't get the best the Texans had to offer. Well you didn't get the best we had to offer either. We still didn't run well. We still had too many penalties. Romo is still not as accurate yet as he knows he is. If you're going to say the Texans didn't bring their A game. We didn't either and you lost by two touchdowns.

Also, I said RELATIVE. What you're speaking is in absolute. No, we didn't hold Andre Johnson to 2 catches for 10 yards. We however did hold him to everything under his average I believe.

Okay, and the Texans fans only started trash talking once the Cowboys game was next on the schedule. You're telling me that if the tables were turned, Cowboys fans would not have talked a little trash? The Texans were 2-0 then and we were riding high on our team and playing against the Cowboys, the most popular team in the league. If you didn't expect trash talk then, then get your head out of the sand. And yes, we'll see in October and November who is the better team.
Bull and you know it. Yes there is trash talking the week of the game. But the Texan fans on here have been talking trash since the preseason game which was a month ago. If the Cowboys won that game, I guarantee there would be no trash talking. Because like I told you last month, preseason means NOTHING.

Um, I've criticized my team and have given the Cowboys props. It's just that you seem to what me to kiss the ground the Cowboys walk on. Cowboys fans are EXTREMELY arrogant. Who cheers when a player gets injured and is rolling on the turf? Especially one like Andre Johnson, who is the anti-diva WR. That's just classless and I've seen crap like that too many times from Cowboys fans.
No you seen crap like that from the Cowboy fans you was around. Again, you're making generalizations. You've given the Cowboys props but it's mostly backhanded and mostly about what the Texans did and not what the Cowboys did. I don't care if you want to kiss the ground the Cowboys walk on. You however want us to accept your status quo excuses and we're not interested in doing so.

I will also say that because of our large fanbase, we do have a large amount of classless and arrogant fans. We also have a large amount of classy and humble and educated fans.

This thread wouldn't have went on as long after the game if you didn't name your multiple excuses for why your team lost. Cowboy fans came in here after the game to serve up the amount of crow that Texan fans was giving us for the past month. That's all it was. And it was mostly to Metro Matt anyway.

Multiple excuses? Those were my reasons as to why the Texans lost the game. It's not like I said the Texans lost the game because of the refs. They lost the game because of themselves and not coming prepared to play and letting the Cowboys do what they wanted. Actually, the Cowboys didn't do much until the third quarter when they realized they were ahead for the first time this season after a half. They came out with a swagger in the third and the Texans came out flat...again. Props to your team and we'll see how the season plays out.
