It appears the Horned Frogs might just get there wish of joining a BCS conference. The Big East is interested in TCU. If they recieve a invitation more than likely they will accept it.

The Big East? Not a real good conference. TCU should try to get into the Big 12 when it expands.

I say go for it. The Big East is a BCS conference and they get access to the East Coast Media. The basketball program will instantly get better joining the big east. Its not a sure thing that the big 12 will extend a invitation to TCU.

TCU should go with it, for all its benefits. Being in a different conference, ultimately, will allow opportunity for more Texas schools to play in BCS bowl games.

They should go for the Big East if offered an invite. The Big 12 almost imploded this offseason, and it likely will implode the next time it has the chance. It's a dead conference walking. Texas, Texas A&M, and OU will land on their feet in a good conference no matter what happens. No reason for TCU to get caught up in a situation like they did in 1995.

Even if the Big 12 stayed together, they would never add TCU or any other Texas team. But TCU should go for the Big East. Because the MWC after this year is done. BYU and Utah are leaving. This conference will be Boise State and TCU and thus they will never get an automatic qualify.

I do believe the superconferences are coming and Texas and Texas A&M and Texas Tech will wound up between the SEC, Big 10, or Pac 10.

Yep the Big 12 is the WRONG answer for TCU. First off, it would never happen because TCU is a threat to UT and ATM. If you don't believe politics has anything to do with this, then you are naiive. Second, if you happened to watch the news during the last re-alignmment, you may have caught a whiff of UT's unrealistic demands. And this went on for a few weeks. The 800 lb gorilla pretty much dictates what the rest of the conference is allowed to do with the exception of OU (what did ATM's board of regents finally decide? it wasn't the SEC). TCU would be better off in the Big East or MWC if they get an AQ. As it is, TCU has been knocking on the national championship door already.

TCU is not a threat to Texas or Texas A&M in anything honestly. The reason why TCU will not go to the Big 12 is because they add nothing when it comes to revenue and tv dollars. The Big 12 already has the DFW market with UT, A&M, TT, OU, and to an extent, OSU and Baylor. There are more Texas and OU fans in DFW than TCU fans. This is the exact reason why Houston will not ever join the Big 12 because Texas and Texas A&M already have the Houston market.

Not to mention that there are 4 teams from Texas in the conference. The rest of the conference already hates that there are 4 teams now. Why would they allow another one in their conference.

Good for TCU! If they receive an invitation from the Big East I think they should take it. As mentioned above, for various reasons it is unlikely that the Big 12 will invite them and the Big 12 is unstable right now. TCU has a great football team and would be a valuable addition to any conference they join.
