Just curious, do you have a breakdown by metro area? Curious to see what DFW, Houston, and Austin (since they make up the overwhelming majority of Texas' Asian population) have.

I would be willing to bet DFW does too.

Houston's Vietnamese and DFW's Indian community are even more massive than I thought.

The number seems off for DFW's and Houston's Vietnamese community though. According to Lifeshadower in another thread:

Vietnamese American
Total Population: 1,642,950 (1,508,489 alone) of which 63.8% are foreign born

Educational Attainment:
27.5% Bachelor's Degree or Higher
73.1% High School Diploma or Higher

Median Household Income: $56,980
Per Capita Income: $22,575

Regional Dispersion
10.2% in the Northeast
9.4% in the Midwest
31.2% in the South
46.2% in the West

Top 5 States:
1. California: 535,901
2. Texas: 187,613
3. Washington: 62,848
4. Florida: 56,876
5. Virginia: 49,947

Top 5 CSA's
1. Los Angeles CSA: 274,629
2. Bay Area CSA; 176,900
3. Houston CSA: 83,964
4. Dallas-Fort Worth CSA: 68,018
5. Washington DC CSA: 64,598

Given that 1235 Vietnamese came into DFW in 2009, that should make DFW's Vietnamese community just shy of 70k. Around 1,750 Vietnamese came into Greater Houston in 2009, so that should put Houston's Vietnamese community around 85k.

Hehe, and I guess the Indians are joining the brethren in DFW as Houston's Indian community (according to these numbers) either stagnated or declined, but DFW's went through the roof.

Im guessing different sources measure them differently.
