The Texas Rangers make their first playoff appearance in over a decade. Can the Rangers win this series? What are the Rangers chances of getting to World Series?

Texas @ Tampa Bay Oct 6 12:37 CT.

Rangers over rays in 4. Ryan has already said the Rangers will win the WS in 7. How can he make such a prediction? Cause he put that prediction in a head lock and whaled the crap out of it until it came out the way he wanted it to!

The odds are better than if they were playing the Yankees. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the few times the Rangers have entered the post season, it was the Yankees who put them out.

While they're better overall than they have been, I don't see the Rangers getting past the Rays. The AL West was pretty putrid the year and the Rangers were 2-4 against the Rays during the regular season. Tampa in 4.

I think the Rangers just have a propensity to shoot themselves in the foot--
pitching is always an issue--
if their starters do their job then maybe they will go well

Hamilton is back and they think he is their mojo man--so their spirits are probably good

Pitching is always an issue but I think the pitching is better than the Rays this season. I will take Texas bullpen over Tampa Bay. But I would have rather faced the Yankees in the first round. Will be a tough series.

An defensive mental lapse by Arias is what kept the season series from being tied 3-3.

Well Rangers won today 5-1 and Cliff Lee dominated.
