Road Trip!

Bu I want to say I spent time in Texas lately and love it.I talked to a few Texans which are nice people and a few of them told me they are not too happy with Californians moving there, specially Austin. It has driven up values to where some Austin natives can't afford it anymore.

Further more politically wise I would like to remind Californians that moving to Texas they should consider themselves Texans and not Californians in Texas.I think much of the political mumbo jumbo that Californians supported in California could turn Texas into another California. The same could be said about my home state Florida.

So respectfully agreeing with some Texans I spoke with, that government regulation, taxes and firearm legislation is not wanted by most Texans.Or it will turn into another California.
in praise of texas. i would like the reverse to happen i would like texans to move here and change the state.
that happened for a bit in bakerville with the oil movements but now has died down.
i like it i love it i cannt get enough of it.

ps texas is the only state i know that is not suffering from a terminal illness
called "white guilt".

Could you be more specific please, What was California in the past in your opinion, who knows, I might share your opinions. There are reasons I chose not to return to my native state.

Well, I cant predict the future (other than bush would destoy the USA) but Im guessing that when Jan 2009 comes around and he is replaced, he wont even stop by the Ranch to pick up the furniture. He only bought the ranch to give that "Simple Cowboy" look. Good for the photo ops.

Ill respect your state in the morning if you can get at least Ron Paul elected. Im not voting for him, but I would take him over all other GOP and even over 1/3 of the dems. He is one of the greatest leaders to come out of your state in a long time.

I don't own a texas encyclopedia, but where exactly in Iraq do you find the gay baby whales on welfare, that are anti gun thinking. Just curious. Just poking fun a little bit. No hard feelings. GO COLORODO ROCKIES!!!!!!

I don't even know who you are...so much for a history, eh? I have no idea what I could possibly have said to you on this forum to warrant your comments.

I'm not sure who is doing the personal attacks here, but I'm pretty sure it's not me...your posts in this thread speak for themselves.

Talk about taking the high road....

smackie94 is on a distinguished road
the number of restrictions now placed on everything and anything (i.e. smoking, gun laws, helmet laws, riding a mountain bike laws)
the open spaces that were once there have been filled with condos or houses
traffic
smog
traffic again
smog again
the fact that it over crowded.
the laws concerning self defense and firearms
the victim mentallity of alot of people....that crap spreads like a cancer
illegal's (not much better here in texas)
legal and medical benefits for illegals
school systems went to crap
people....too many of them
diversity.
la Raza
nancy pelosi
gray davis
costs of living
general mentality of the city folk
everywhere is a city now (cant stand cities)
all the cities seem to be getting "dirtier" and more "low income" ( i grew up poor by the way)

growing up there, we had orchards we could pick fruit in..all gone now
the hills where we spent alot of our time houses or private property now
all the trees are wilting from smog (san jose area at least)

liberalism...to the point of ridiculousness
no more space
beaches seem to be trashed more often
tourist

foreigners

this is my observation of the area i grew up in (greater san jose area...i.e. silicon valley) and other areas i have lived (socal). of course this is not 100% all inclusive there are still some great places there but they are shrinking.

use to love it there, but after going back a few times....i dont even like visiting there anymore.

p.s.
i dont care what anyone says the weather isnt always 75 degrees...it can downright suck, i have seen heatsrokes during the day and then hypothermia that night

bush bashing...the new national past time

like i said met his parents a few times, know a few secret service guys that have worked for the bush families....they are genuine truly good people. bush destroying the USA.....i may not agree with everything he has done ( i do agree with the war though) but this nation is being destroyed by the democrats (at least since bill was in office...since then its gone downhill)

I would still choose him over any of the dems running for prez. hell i would sooner vote for hitler while being a jew then hillary or obama.

dont know enough about ron paul to say intelligently, but he seems better then any of the other options by far.

p.s. i spend alot of time in colorado for work.....i really dislike the rockies and the broncos

p.s.s. colorado is the next california

very good list, I agree with you on quite a few of your reasons, however could you explain how the Dems are responsible for all the problems you listed in California. Please aslo expain why you say if you were a jew, you would vote for hittler, a monster responsible for cold blooded murder of 10 million world wide (6 million jews) and thousands of americans, Over Mrs Clinton or Obama. Perhaps a tad bit of emotional exageration on that comment.

Clinton: NAFTA was his mistake, a policy widely supported by the Republican Congress.

The Clinton Years: Remember When:

Gas was 75 cents to 99 cents and we were pissed about it.

A budget Surplus

His Justice department caught the guys who attacted the WTC on his watch and they are now in jail.

Welfare reform

100,000 more cops on the streets of america

College Tuition Grants in excange for community service

Stable real estate market

those 3500 future soldiers of Iraq were still alive

We had building 1 2 and 7 of the world trade center standing

Most of the world respected us (yes I was in the service and felt the love and respect all over the world for president Clinton)
