We have a chance to relocate to TX and just wondering where would be a better area to go to. Dh can transfer to an office off trinity blvd in Fw i believe or into Plano office. We want to live in an area that is family friendly (we have 5 children all 6yrs old and younger that we will be homeschooling), a nice size lot of 1/3 acre or more, big house over 3000 sq ft., and pool with grassy area too. But we don't want to live too far from work either since commute i hear is bad! 45 mins commute would be fine. Where should we be looking? We have 2 realtors looking for us but would like the opinion of others too! oh and we can spend $300,000 and not more since taxes are so high. Thanks!!!

You'd probably get more bang for your buck over in Fort Worth. There are a lot of homeschoolers here and they have a lot of associations and whatnot. There's a big homeschool fair in Plano every year, I hear. I don't homeschool. I just hear people talk about it a lot because there are just so many kids being homeschooled. Texas is a real "easy" state to homeschool in.

I can't talk too much for Plano but I did hear their tax rates are really high right now, as for Fort Worth and in particular the Trinity Blvd area I think you will have numerous choices.
