Thumbs up I'll be holidaying in Texas ...

Hello,
Just discovered this forum. I'll be holidaying inTexas, near Clarendon, Donley County doing some riding at the end of September . Could anyone tell me what to expect regarding weather.I can do without rain, as we get enough here in Yorkshire. In fact even as I write.... Also what is the terrain like in that area? Is there anything to do when my bum (ass) gets sore, and I need to rest it?
Cheers, Yorky

Clarendon....... Don't hear of many people going to vacation in Clarendon. What is Clarendon like: small town, farming & ranching territory. Lots and lots of land. Not many trees. Don't count on a lot of rain. During the holidays (I assume you are talking about December???) it will be cold or coolish but not hot. Clarendon is in the Panhandle of Texas. Not a whole lot to do around there.

Default Holiday in September

Holiday is the English version of vacation. You'll have to tell us how you came to pick Clarendon .

The weather at the end of September will still be plenty warm.

Think of it as Urra Moor without the colour...At what should be the tail end of summer, it will still be HOT. No matter how much you think you are, you have no way of preparing for the heat out there.
