Tyler, but I'm biased. My dad and Grandma and a slew of other relatives live there

I aint know East Texas had more then 2..lol and I assumed Beamount was South east Texas/Golden Triangle...but mine would have to be Longview/Marshall metro area..of course that's where I was born and it would have to be my fav. part of east texas.

I'm from Orange, which is really part of the Beaumont metro. Orange will always be home, but I wouldn't vote it my favorite. I was impressed by Lufkin. It has lots of restaurants and big box stores that you normally don't find in towns it's size.

Longview/Marshall for me.

- Small town, cozy, Southern vibe, but you're still very close to Shreveport for entertainment.

For scenery, Texarkana hands down.

That's what impressed me about it as well when I was coming through there heading back to Houston. Last time I went through Lufkin in1998 it was smaller and there was construction on Hwy 59. Now I see lot's of new businesses and 59 is pretty much a freeway all the way through town.

Oh ok. I just assumed Beaumont was considered east Texas.

*ahem*

It seems like it just makes sense to vote for Tyler, but I can't say I have a favorite. I love something about each of them, yet no city really stands out as being far and away the best, IMO.
