Good gawd, fellow Texans!

It is COLD out there. Duh! Schools are closed once again tomorow and I 'bout froze my rear end off going to scrape some ice and snow off the car windows....

Well, might as well make the best of it. So, with that in mind? Giving it your best Texas thoughts and sentiments?

What is your notion of keeping nice and warm on one of those worst case blue norther Texas nights? Where it gets so cold the rooster says y'all crow yourself...

Let me add, that I am talking in terms of food and drink...not warm quilts and...well hell, git yer yer minds out of the gutter!

*thinking* On the other hand? Why the hell not?

You can make more than one choice...and add your own!

Well, this Texan is in NM and CO these days, and the ground outside (NM just above El Paso) has a thick blanket of snow. Low tonight to be between 2-5 degrees, 0 tomorrow night.

I LOVE IT!!! There is a big pot of homemade chili on the stove......chili topped with grated cheese, chips, a light beer.....then a big mug of hot tea will do it.

I'm glad I'm retired and don't have to get up and go outside in the morning. It is still snowing like crazy outside, and there will undoubtedly be a layer of ice under the snow. I hope those who can't drive in this stuff stay home!!!

I do too, but it's soooooo cold. It's 18 degrees right now, and the wind chill is 2 degrees.

Not inside your house. Unless you don't have windows. I bought one of those frozen lasagna things from Walmart and I'm about to tear that thing up later on tonight.
