Just wondering if it was a good experience. I am looking at 3=day overnight soccer camp for my 8yo son. I have heard the swim camp is outstanding (and two sessions are full already!) and may sign my 10yo daughter up for that.

My two sons have been to A&M swim camp at least two times each. It is an outstanding camp. Oustanding coaching, great attention to the kids, and very well supervised.

Thanks hoffdano. Rumor has it it's a better camp than UT's. (Longhorn fan here.)

Anyone got feedback on the soccer program? Hoping it is of the same caliber, especially since my guy is on the younger side.

My family is full of swimmers and our friends are swimmers. The UT swim camp is mostly a horde of kids loosely corraled in the swim center. I have seen some of their workouts. I think they rely too much on the reputation of the men's program and don't do enough really good work with the kids.

Sorry can't help though with soccer. I'd like to assume it is similar quality as the swim camp, but I'm not sure that is a safe assumption to make.

Actually I went to the UT swim camp myself but it was a looooong time ago. Before water, maybe even. I will say that pool was state-of-the-art when I swam in it, though. Not so much anymore.

Maybe our kids have swum against each other in meets... My 8 and 10 year old both swim and we usually compete in San Antonio but occasionally come over to UT Austin for meets - especially during the long course season.
