We are moving to the Lindale/Hideaway Lake area ...just north of Tyler in about 3 weeks and I would like to know what our options are concerning cable, dsl and phone service.
We are currently using a bundled plan through AT and T north of Dallas. Someone told me a lot of communities in E Texas don't have dsl or cable internet available? Surely not!!!!!

I'm sure the larger towns have it, even if you are somewhere where they don't, probably high speed in the form of wireless high speed internet.

Default Internet Connections

Suddenlink is the big up-and-comer around here. They've bought out a number of other companies (e.g., Cox Cable & Cebridge). I've never had Suddenlink, but imagine they're probably good. No bargain though.

For those people south of Tyler (Tyler--outside city limits, Flint, and Bullard), Northland Cable offers high-speed internet access. You can save some money if you have both your TV cable and internet through them.

I have Earthlink high-speed here in South Tyler, and it's been very good. They experience intermittent outages during rain storms, but seem to have partially corrected that problem.
