That portion of Central Texas has actually always had a significant black population. Lots of of freedman's towns were once established within this area.

Figured someone would point that out. But isnt College Station alone like 90,000? And even bryan has like 80,000. Thats kind of mid-sized, I would think. ... Texarkana?

Blacks possibly start to outnumber Whites by 2020 in Killeen. That's how fast the Black population has grown in the last 20 years in that city.

Well Falls County I know of. I know Marlin's black population is the largest in that town. But Killeen is the only area within 50 miles that has a huge number of blacks in it that I know of.

Ones I can think of aside Marlin are Gatesville, Copperas Cove, Mart, Waco and other smaller towns. I know these areas all have significant black communities. I'd say the overall Central Texas area has at least 120k+ blacks and that's without including Austin.

I knew about Mart. Don't know why I didn't mention them. Cove doesn't have a very large black population. Don't know much about Gatesville.

Killeen is impressive, it seems like a new up and coming type of city. It's pretty diverse amongst the demographics and from the map it seems nicely integrated too. Another thing is, for their size they have a local billionaire too, so there's surely lots of economic activity there, if I also remember correctly they have a healthy metro in terms of unemployment.

Nice work. I'm always impressed with Corpus Christi, and Waco looks good too. The Texas Triangle overall is becoming a very cultural place for all and even outside of Houston & Dallas, 2030 is a good target date.

Now you can't leave Hearne in Robinson County out the discussion. It don't get no blacker than Hearne in Central Texas. Ugh Falls County state trooper pulled me over because he said my tent was too dark. Mind you this was right after Obama had been elected. I had to pay a 200$ dollar ticket.

Your tent probably was too dark; did your window tent installer place an approval sticker on your window??? Yes; I forget about Hearne.
