Okay - got the message that I won the next question.

Where is the oldest mission church in Texas located and what
year was it first established according to historians?

Hint: It is still in regular use today.

Hmmmmm....

I think most of us would automatically think South Texas/San Antonio on this one. But couuld it actually be in EAST Texas? That is to say, Nacodoches is the oldest town in Texas so, while not being able to actually name it (the mission itself) right off the bat, is that perhaps where it is located...?

Nope.

Consider the "hint" I gave. Here's another hint - the mission bears the same name as the place it's located.

Mission San Francisco de la Espada, between Palestine and Lufkin. 1690.

The question is vague. Does 'oldest' mean 'first'? Is 'mission church' distinct from 'mission'? Is 'established' distinct from 'built'? Does 'Texas' mean what is NOW Texas? According to WHICH historians?

Same here...I've been to the Mission in question, but can't remember the year it was founded.

I'll concede the answer to the person who gets the name right and then you can look up the year it was founded.
