Well, I guessed I missed that because after living in Waco for over 15 years at the time of David and his gang, I had never heard it referred to as such. As I said, some goof just decided to call it Whacko because it was so close to the name of the city.

I like Waco, We go over there to the catch dinner and a movie at least every other month. Bought all the daughters prom, and homecoming dresses over there. (man am I glad thats over). I lived in alot and worked out of lots of places. Many worse than Waco! Can you say---- Detriot, Chicago, or L.A.---- sure you can.

#1 Crime comes from the lack of jobs, and oppurtunity to move up, I grew up there and was taught a lesson on the real world at a early age, you cant wait on anybody to save you, "YOU SAVE YOURSELF." I agree that one must be self-sufficient in order to get by in this world. It's a good lesson learned. I don't know why people turn to crime as there are jobs to be found anywhere even if they don't pay a lot of money. People don't have to make a lot of money to be self-sufficient. I think that's an excuse as some people are prone to crime. My gracious, look how many wealthy people even resort to crime in one form or another.

Yes, this thread keeps getting "revived" every now and then. I'm not sure what "grinds my gears" means. I've never lived there and never will, but I used to frequent it. I don't get there much anymore as I did in my younger days. But all in all, I don't think Waco is such a bad place and as I said, I know many great people who live there and have lived there for many, many years. As all cities, it definitely has its good and bad points but since you and J whatever have lived there, I guess you know much more than I about it.

Ok first off I think you're goofy, I attended University High and had family members attend Waco high and i read the paper and no where have I ever heard of Gang fights we don't even have any REAL gangs in Waco and if we do nobodys scared of them,nor have I heard of any dead bodies just washing up in the Brazos River. I also never saw Waco even on the list for high crime. I think you wrote this just to get some kind of attention you are a retard like for real. Its okay that you don't like Waco but grow up about the lies!!!!!

You apparently don't read much the thing about waco's crime rate and it being the 5th worst place to live was everywhere and when I say 5th worst place I don't mean in Texas I mean in the whole U.S of A

Where did you read that information? I agree that Waco's crime has increased over the year's, but the 5th worst in the nation doesn't seem right. Check out this link.
