I like Waco. Well, to be more precise, I guess I'm neutral. I've never lived there or spent much time there.

And what other Southern place isn't? Waco really isn't that religious...you'll find that a lot of people here do not attend church regularly and alot also don't go at all!. Yes Baylor is a Baptist college, but you'll also find many students their who aren't religious.

Yes, and don't forget about the basketball player that killed the other bb player. Another student killed his parents and brother.

Let's face it; there are crazies everywhere. Maybe it's a sad thing that more of Waco isn't religious.

Not to you madmann101, but why some people worry about Christians and conservatives is beyond me. I'm pleased to be both.

The only thing good about Waco is that there is a Starbucks that you can drive through on your way to or from Dallas.....

I don't think there is anything wrong with the city, and the location isn't too bad either (central to most major Texas cities). I've often heard it bashed as well, but myself have only driven through the city.

I think Jessica Simpson is from Abilene.

Apparently, the web doesn't know where she was born. One place it says Abilene and another, Dallas. She apparently grew up in Richardson.

I doubt it. Most all or all of Texas is quite high in property taxes which is pretty ridiculous.
