It's a silly notion that it makes the state look bad. It makes the woman look bad. Actually, sad is a better term. She needs help.

They were probably all high-fiving each other and taking turns.

Texas law (if you read the article) prohibits relationships between teachers and students, regardless of the student's age.

She is a complete loser, and it is especially sad for her children and husband.

I read the article, and read that part, but still see it as dumb. All parties involved are consenting adults. Don't see what the big deal is personally. If the lady wants to cheat on her husband with other adults, then let her cheat.

I see it as being against the law because this creates a conflict of interests in the student-teacher relationship. I still think a felony might be a bit harsh though. Maybe a class B misdemeanor. I doubt the boys are torn up over it. Hell, even when I was in HS there were a couple of teachers I would of had a hard time resisting if they approached me.

Though the lady is still trash for cheating on her husband.

ummm 19 year old students?? Please, I was 19 too, I know how that's like. They were probably walking around with a boner all day long and had a blast doing it... sorry, we all know it. They were probably high-fiving each other, taking turns. Can't believe they charged her. WTF. And yes, I realize it's against the law... but still. What can I say, it's Texas

Weird U.S.A Laws
Quote:

Texas
* It's illegal to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel.
* You can't go bare foot without getting a special $5 permit.
* It's illegal to sell ones own eye.* It is illegal to milk another person's cow.
* In Houston, it is illegal to sell Limburger cheese on Sunday.
* In LeFors, it is illegal to take more than three swallows of beer while standing.
* In Mesquite it's illegal for children to have "unusual" haircuts.

In college my gf was doing a teaching stint at a local high school. She was attractive and tried to dress down or 'frumpy' as she called it. Nonetheless she was propositioned many times by the male students. Oh and don't thinkl that female students don't try to get the attention of attractive male teachers as well.

I wish we wouldn't just assume that the 'kids' are naive and innocent and didn't know better. Most 16 year olds know what sex is...and they like it. Now I agree if if its an authority figure then its an issue. Then again how many people know someone who has 'dated' their boss or another supervisor where they work. Its not like the teachers are drugging and raping these kids, the kids know very well what they are doing....they like the temptation of forbidden fruit as well.

Of course they're not torn up over it. They got want they wanted and got off scott free. Whereas she's being penalized. They should be criminalized too.

Situations like this influence other teenagers to go out and do the same thing knowing they can get away with it. Anyways, why the hell were they snitching. I wouldn't of told nobody I hit that.

I'm not sure why they snitched either. Either A. She did something to **** them off or B. They planned to snitch anyway. Considering she probably knew the risk she was taking when she did it, I would guess B.
