Texas is nasty to me, I really hate the hot sticky weather, and the culture. I plan on moving soon as I get my bachelors and my MBA done. The only reason I would come back to Texas is because of Houston, i love Houston to death. I really hate every other city here. San Antonio is the ugliest city in the world, forget the culture and history, when you go there it looks like a city from a third world latin country. Austin is ok, actually Austin is nice but too small for my taste. I dont mean to start a Houston vs Dallas faceoff, but Dallas is the worst city in Texas. My brother lived there for a couple years and i would visit him, TALK ABOUT DEAD!!!! there is no life in the city, i absolutely hate it there. I went there for a week one time, and i started missing Houston after about an hour after i got there. Soon as i get my degrees IM OUT, Chicago or New York are nice, LA is too much like Houston so thats not an option. Sorry for rambling, but im just tired of the same stuff everyday, i need a change

Aren't you quite a young guy, still in school, right? Youngsters can stand just about anything, I think.

I can speak only for Houston since ive spent my whole life(19 years) minus first 4 years which i spent in LA. Sunbelt cities are to big for me, big as in sprawling. I love Houston but even in Houston its amazing to me that there is so much empty spaces. right next to our second airport (Hobby) there is a big field with cows and goats, that's CRAZY!! I like takin walks but in Houston if i take a walk ill come back 4 shades darker and with about 459 mosquito bites, while in Chicago I can walk the beautiful Lake Shore Dr. Dont get me wrong though, Im a houstonian for life, but i just cant wait to move.

So in about 40 years when you get as old as I am, you may change your mind about the heat. Actually, I've never cared for it, but it affects me now more than when I was in my late 20s after first moving to Texas.

At 19, you're not even legal to get into most of the good bars and clubs...no wonder you don't think there's any nightlife in SA!

LOL!! No kidding. And an hour, give me a break. An hour is nothing to even get a good glimpse of ANYPLACE!!! LOL!!! Guess I'm one of those people that has had the opportunity to travel the country and the world and I'll take my Lone Star State and hometown of Big D over any other place to call home that I've been to.
BTW, I'm over 40 and I'll take the heat over the cold anyday.
