I just drove in from the south into Plainview (Hale County) on I-27. There appears to have been a very recent large grass fire and a burned building (house?) just south of Plainview. There were also other grassy areas that were burned both along I-27 and along FM 789 south out of Plainview. We are tenderbox dry.

Yeah, here in San Angelo when I stepped outside last night the smell of smoke was very strong. Turns out Christoval had a big fire last night.
