Crane isn't for everyone, that's for sure. But it has the dis-stink advantage of being on top of some of the most extensive oil and gas producing properties in the state, with all that infers for a stable local economy.

I prefer a change of season as opposed to CA weather. I love, love Texas winters and I believe I've mentioned that on these forums ad nauseam. Actually, November through March is pretty darn wonderful!!

Why is it that since I responded in detail and pretty much on a positive note to the OP, I get "ragged on" and while others only mentioned the heat, that's ignored?

Like the others, I'd recommend Austin, DFW or Houston.
