Both Houston and Dallas are the powerhouse metro areas within Texas. I personally prefer Dallas over Houston, but that is just my opinion. The Metro Houston area added over 1 million people between the years of 2000 and 2010. So, obviously there are some people out there who don't have issues with the place.

I think Corpus may be the most racist major city in Texas. It is not big enough and diverse enough. So the majority sometimes treats the minority like sub human.

The only thing I have against Houston is the climate. The humidity is too much for me. It isn't wonderful here in Ft Worth either. I wish I lived in Ft Davis or in NM! Other than that, Houston is fine, although I don't like big cities much in general. It's all a matter of personal opinion.

Agree, and I'm a Houston boy. Never understood the rivalry.

Ever spent any time in the tri-city area? (Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange).

All of that humidity sure makes things lush & tropical looking though. Its also good for the skin.
