I agree with bu2. Houston is more diverse and integrated, but the difference isn't drastic. Dallas is roughly 10 years behind Houston statistically. What Houston is today is what Dallas will be in 10 years (demographically).
That's why I said DFW doesn't have an area like Southwest Houston. It may have small pockets spread throughout, but not anything close to Southwest Houston.

Dude, every city has haters. Quit acting like Houston is the only one. Houston doesnt have it any better or worse than any other sunbelt city on the forum. Rise above it and move on instead of going on and on about it.

i just came back from new york city. i loved new york but like Houston, its far from what i'd consider pretty with the exception of the lakefront views of the skyline and other things. The streets and subway litter, older storefronts are interesting but not eye catching with beauty. It made me wonder why people always come down so hard on Houston when its no uglier than say "NYC" or most other big cities.

Yeah so what? GWB in Dallas and Glenn Beck moving there soon. Do you hate Dallas for that same reason?

I think only a fool would hate an entire city because of one or two residents.

Only on city data do people act like this over such simple things. [Not you; agreeing with your statement].
