I wondered if anyone could help me out regarding part time employment opportunities and also how open MDs and nurse practitioners are to preceptorships in Kerrville? I know I love the area and need to be somewhere for two years while I finish this degree. I'm in an RV, so finding a place to stay in Kerrville is as easy as an RV park (if they aren't full). I love smaller places and the large cities are not where I want to be. I've been an RN for 19 years, but I also know that smaller places in Texas can be quite hard to find jobs in since the nurses are a "captive" to the place and tend to stay where they find a job. Any help is appreciated!

There are nursing positions listed here at the Kerrville Chamber of Commerce website. Jobs in Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country

Kerville is a really nice area, I can understand your attraction to moving there. There are a lot of medical facilities there Health and Wellness Options in the Kerrville Area and its an attractive are for retirees, so I would expect you can find a job without too much trouble.

Thank you so much, CptnRn. I appreciate the links. I will be headed that way in about a week and look forward to the green, something we do not have in Amarillo! Palo Duro Canyon is great and the best thing I've found in this area IMHO.
