I just visited weather.com and it looks like a tropical system is brewing in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico. If the system stays organized, it could move into Texas.

Wouldn't it be great if the system held together as a tropical depression or weak tropical storm that could bring beneficial rain without causing damage? This could be exactly what Texas needs with the drought conditions ya'll have been having. Say a prayer!

I hope that system moves inland, sits for a few days, and soaks the entire state. We all need it so bad. I'll certainly be praying for that!

I'm doing the rain dance in the back yard this evening. I may have to round up the neighbors to help. Hopefully it will result in the happy dance on Sunday when the tropical depression has come through and soaked us down. I could really enjoy doing the happy damce in the mud.

I'm fine with it moving our way if it stays a tropical storm but if it intensifies further I want it as far away from us as possible. I don't think I can go through another Hurricane Ike.

I heard it's heading towards Corpus, so I'm not holding out any hope that it'll even burst the Central Texas Dry Bubble
