The dryness has helped.

Honestly, because I have been either working or asleep, I haven't even noticed it's that hot.

I feel for the people who have to work outside.

Oh, and people still holding athletic practices? That unconscionable.

Fidget?

It is so hot here in the Piney Woods that the trees lining the road are dying. Seriously, it LOOKS like autumn outside. I'll take pictures of it tomorrow when I head that way. All the leaves that overhang the highway are auburn for miles and miles. I've been told that it's due to a mixture of drought and the heat coming off the highway. It's really strange.

My wife and I just got back from a week in northern California and Oregon. Spent a few days driving up the coast highway all along the Oregon coast. Beautiful and temps in the 50s-70s. That area is my current retirement candidate in 10 years . Been here in Houston for 35 years, since college, gotta get away from this heat.

I saw that! I was in Tyler this past weekend and it really does look like fall. So many of the trees lining the roads are dying and even the ones further back. Those looked like they were yellowing. My dad lives out in the country towards Winona and he almost has no grass in his yard now.
