Where and what are the best apartments in Longview? I know its not Dallas or Austin but hows the single life here? Fun things to do, nightlife, woman? Took a job and would be moving down from Omaha. What else can you tell me about this town?

Funny, I'm 30 and from Longview and wanted to move to Omaha or Des Moines, but settled on Dallas for now. I've went my whole life without ever living in an apartment. However, I've heard good things about the ones at the corner of HG Mosley and Fairmont and the ones at the southwest corner of Bill Owens and the loop. I can't remember the names of either but you ought to be able to figure it out with the Yellow Pages and Google Maps.

I live at Summer Lake Apartments, at 3100 McCann Road next to Longview Mall. It is really nice, with only one- and two-bedroom apartments, some with hardwood floors. A new complex expects to home this fall on U.S. 259 North next to the UT-Tyler/Longview Center.
