Now, I'm going to stop this foolishness right now!

It was never defended because I have never or read of its occurring and/or being an issue discussed either at council meetings or otherwise. If you could find something -anything- written (and not just your own words).

The people who brought this up..should have proof. Where's the proof?

and apparently in other unsightly activity that river homeowners see and that leads me to believe you do not have the means to live there...but just go there. I really don't care whether it had to be brought up at a meeting to be an issue for you, buddy. Unless you are illiterate, please read the posts again and if you agree with the poster that doesn't think it's really a problem when somebody poops in your yard, I suspect you two are actually neighbors.

You don't have proof which makes everything else you've stated suspect.

You and I both live in Texas. The land of "put up or shut up". Respectfully, I think you know what time it is.

I repeat: as has happened twice before (last time in 2007), the action of the Mayor and council has very little to do with "trash". Rather, to help Keep New Braunfels 'God-fearing Christian'..

However, I am not worried because I know the Mayor's social-con, Crusader behind is going to be out next election because the Chamber is not happy. Regional tourism is not a business in New Braunfels, it's the business..
Yeah, the outfitters got Ken Valentine recalled and promised they would do their part to make life a better place for those that pay the taxes NB. Well guess what, that hasn't worked.
As far as the funds to clean up the rivers, they are depleted. But as someone has already pointed out, you seem to think it's ok to trash the rivers b/c someone else will pick up your trash. Can someone say, "lack of responsibility and no respect for other peoples property?"
I'll have to go back on this thread but I seem to recall that Texas Horse Lady questioned you on some of your statements but you never responded.
As far as proving anything, your posts indicate that you are not very old or mature. Additionally, if you do live on the river, it's probably with your parents.
As I have stated, I will do everything I can to support the mayor and city council clean up our town.

I say, grow up. If people can't manage such a simple, conscientious action as not taking their trash onto the river, then maybe they shouldn't be on the river ruining the experience for everyone else.

Great news. Im sure there are a good amount of people who are conscientious about it, but on busy days, it is out of control. Its a great time, doesnt have to be a full on party zone.

Where did I say these things? Show me the quotes...now (to the previous poster), I did say "put up or shut up". I'm a proud Texan and I own it.

I've reviewed this thread: and I saw the question Texas Horse Lady asked me. If you wish to volunteer for river cleanup, you can contact the City of New Braunfels, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board or the Volunteer Auxiliary Board does some project work as well. You can also go to It's My River for more information (they're a coalition of river outfitters, businesses, and residents who are against the ordinance).

GUESS WHAT? They've succeeded in getting the can ban on the November ballot with 4,300 signatures more than twice (2x) the 1,700 needed!

Finally, (people) we are not in a creative writing class. It's unbecoming to create your own narrative and facts to prove a point. It doesn't fly in a real courtroom, so why would it work in the realm of public opinion... in an online forum?

I asked a simple question and I've yet to receive an answer. Very telling.
