Default Restrictions??? are there some parts around Lake-O-the Pines that aren't restricted anymore?

I'm looking for a piece of land that isnt restricted where we could have piece
and quiet and we can build on it if we decide too. Where's our rights gone to in
this state where people can't have a free restriction zone near a lake? hope you can help me. and thanks for your site also I happen to know of Jefferson and I also happen to think it is a retirement town in my opinion I graduated high school in Panola County and Jefferson don't have a hospital and Marshall and Longview are the only good ones in that area unless you want to go over 30 miles to Carthage for medical care. I hope this helps.

[quote=Kurt;1299820]You gave me some great information. I will look into Tejas Village. I do not mind restrictions that enhance the beauty and the clarity of the lake. I know about the recent drought--Toledo Bend got to record lows. The fact that Longview gets its drinking water there is actually good--it will put pressure on keeping the lake cleaner and the water has to be high enough for the intake pumps to work to get water to the city.t

Guys, anything new regarding Tejas Village? My wife and I have made an offer on a home on Tejas Road and wonder if there is any new news. I know about the change in water supply company, but anything else?
