Wow, that's a lot of clothes! (And a lot of tax money saved.)

Ya I Know! I can't believe you found this thread as I was the last one to post on it from last year! I'll be at the mall tomorrow.

I remembered it b/c I started this thread last year. Yes, I'll be at the mall as well, either tomorrow or Sun. But hopefully not both days.
Happy tax-free shopping to all.

8.25% where I live but you wouldn't catch me in the crowds.

I don't recall it being particularly over crowded last weekend when I shopped. The mall's much worse (crowded) in late Nov. going into Dec.

Add on to the no sales tax weekend, a lot of stores are having sales on top of that, so someone on a budget if might be a benefit for. JC Penney is having a huge sale, also w/an additional 10% off in the store, so that's an 18.25% savings.
My daughter and I went to Northpark this morning, it wasn't bad and she got a lot of 2 for 1's tops and sales priced jeans. There's no way I'm going to a mall tomorrow though!

Penny's is having a pretty big sale--was in kids' clothing dept yesterday and lots of racks were buy one regular and get one for a $1--that is 50% sale pretty much...
much better than the sales last year--such is the power of the subprime fiasco--which still have not unwound its pernicious damage to this economy
more prime mortgages going to foreclosure in some parts of the country now that the untenable subprimes have just about all gone belly up...
and don't think that just because oil is down for a couple of weeks that it is staying down--it is just down because of the coming election--bet that by the second week of Nov it is back to 130 and heating oil will be the big bone of contention...
