Glacier Park is a can't miss park, too. But again, these are national parks, not state parks...

Look, a lot of states have nice state parks, for example: Delaware State Parks - We're Saving a Place for You! Texas state parks are fine but Texas hardly has a monopoly on well-kept, nice state parks. I always thought McKinney Falls outside of Austin was cool, though the immediate surroundings outside the park you had to drive through were kind of shabby.

That is only 3 states out of 50........not to hate but TX parks don't even hold a candle to other state parks. Yes, Alaska has state parks and I've had the privlilege to explore a few and they are hands down the best. I'm not just talking about scenic beauty but everything in the park from the trails to bathrooms are well kept.

But hey, if you love TX state parks.....more power to ya and enjoy!

Yep, several state parks in Alaska. Virtually all breath-taking, and with the occasional grizzly roaming through.

Lots of Nat'l parks, too. It's that kinda place.

And still I love Texas! But maintain a dual citizenship.
