Lufkin Texas - which sides of town/zip codes are high crime? Which low crime?

Also, how is the crime around Angelina College?

If one is looking to relocate to Lufkin, what part of town would you recommend and why? Im looking for a decent looking neighborhood with low crime, a neighborhood with garages, not carports....but it doesnt have to be the most expensive neighorhood.

The side of town that you would probably like is the south part where the growth is happening. The north side is crime ridden and central part of town. The city is around 35,000 ppl and have ammenites of a city with 50,000.Behind Lowes home improvement store is where alot of construction of subdivison are going on,then you have crown colony that is in the south part of town convient to the freeway and shopping where there is beautiful neighborhoods with a golf course.
