Hey DISTRACTORS! When are you going to answer this question? What's that? You're too busy distracting people?

I suppose the DETRACTORS are either at better beaches or they are at home posting their thoughts in this thread...

The DISTRACTORS? I have no idea, but that slip up cracked me up.

And south padre is prettier than this. I think people go to Texas beaches either at the wrong time of year, or they only go to Galveston and write off all Texas beaches. Because I've been to Florida multiple times and SoCal as well, and the water of padre island to me fits nicely between the beaches I've seen in Florida and in SoCal. With south Florida being slightly prettier and California's water being cloudier and sand not being as white as these pictures you're looking at. However the hills/mountains of cali made their beaches nice as well. I'll even post the pictures I took in Florida and SoCal to show what I mean. The biggest differences in the beaches are development and accessibility. The prettiest stretch of texas coastline is mostly inaccessible with no towns or even roads. In anywhere else in the U.S this isn't the case.

I was looking for a beach close to San Antonio and this was only about 2hrs away. I read this forum prior to going and expected a really crappy beach, I decided to take a camera and see for myself. I was pleasantly surprised. I also checked their webcam prior to going.

I don't know what everybody's problem is? I love Galveston! Check out it's historic downtown before judging.
