Holy Cow...The Rangers and Astros are now in the same division. The Astros will be the 5th team in the AL west. It should be a very fun rivarly between two franchise that still can't seem to win a World Series. Great move by the Astros

The good thing is that the Astros have an automatic division rival in the Rangers. However, they can't meet in the World Series, and now Texans will have to travel to another state to see NL-style play.

This is such a crock. Bud Selig moved his own Milwaukee Brewers from the AL to the NL, supposedly for scheduling purposes. Now he's forcing some other team to move out of the NL to the AL?

Eh, Jim Crane wanted the team badly enough. I would have loved to see them in the NL West, but Arizona didn't have to go.

Besides, I'm sure tics for games against the Pirates, Reds and Brewers were just through the roof...

Enjoy new scenery, folks.

Astros fan since they were called the Colt 45's. The start of the franchise. This will be a hard move to get used to, let alone like. Not a designated hitter, DH, fan at all. Take most of the strategy out of the game. Leaves it to run producing machine instead. I like stealing bases, such as home plate, the suicide squeeze, great defensive plays that save the victory. Not just winning 13 to 10 with 6 home runs, but sometime a 4-3 games are really exciting as the Rangers fans found out during the regular season. Anyway, it will be some tuff getting used to, but I'll have to make it. 50 years Astros fan.

None of the AL West fans like it. I don't like it. I liked the fact that Texas had an AL and NL team. Astro fans will miss their rivalry with the Cubs and Cardinals, I know. Milwaukee should have moved back to the AL Central and moved KC Royals to the AL West. But Bud wanted his Brewers in the NL. He is a joke.

It will make for some interesting(heated) debates on C-D, that's for sure! Let the million and one threads begin(with baseball talk) and end with which city is the better(economically, culturally, etc)...you guys know the drill!

As an Astros fan, I do not approve of this. I don't care much for AL ball, so I'll greatly miss the NL. It also blows that we'll have only the Rangers in our time zone now in our division. Selig's a jerk.
