Dear Great People,
I had a TX. conceal permit for many years. It is now expired. My question is regarding a stay in V.A. mental institution for a suicide attempt Apr. 6th 2010.
I only spent 1 week there.
I still have my .357 here but want to know if I have to wait 2 full years before I can purchase a Glock 27? I am no longer as depressed as I had to quit prescription narcotics. They really contribute to depression.
Anyhow do I have to wait until Apr. 20th of 2012 or can I just buy one now?

Talking I got my answer

Yes I can buy a new pistol and did. No judge, or hearing was involved whatsoever.
See 18 U.S.C. 922(g)(4).
It clearly states this.
