Perry will no doubt stick it out through a few/several Southern primaries. I suppose if he has a poor showing in South Carolina he might go ahead and quit at that point. Romney will be the GOP nominee. Only question is whether Paul, Santorum or some other nutjob will mount an independent candidacy. Perry at most will stay in until after the Texas primary. Would be interesting if he lost that to Romney -- a situation that I could easily foresee based on pragmatism by TX Repubs who by then will likely see that the die has already been cast in favour of Romney.

Ron Paul (from Texas) is the only candidate whose agenda and platform will restore America. He is also the only candidate that can actually beat Obama at this point. People can't stand Obama, but Romney will be just as bad; as a matter of fact, ObamaCare was based on RomneyCare! I actually believe that the Iowa elections were intentionally distorted by corrupt GOP operatives who do not want an anti-Banker candidate to win...I think Ron Paul actually won the real vote...anyone notice that he was UP until a certain time of the night....then all of a sudden, CNN claimed that there has been a disruption in the counting process...10 minutes later they began claiming Romney was up, and beat Santorum by only 8 votes? Please, give me a break.

it would be stupid to drop out after only one contest. there is a reason why the 1st 4 are in different regions of the country.

after placing 4th or 5th in 5 or so races then I would say it is time to call it quits.

not that I am saying Perry is in the running for the nom. just saying that this is just one contest and Iowa isn't exactly Perryland.

Yes, Paul, one of the few honest and consistent politicians in this country not bought and paid for by corporations and lobbyists, is the nutjob. Have no fear, he's not running 3rd party and won't beat Romney, the media's chosen candidate.
