Default Perry presidential campaign cost Texas taxpayers over $800,000

Is he going to pay the taxpayers back the 800K in expenses for his Presidential bid. $10,000 rent time 72 months for temp Gov. mansion = $720,000. What type of home can I get in Austin for 720K? SA, Houston, etc

$800,000 + $720,000 = $1,520,000 That is the equivalent to the household income for over 30 families (households) in Austin.

Austin Estimated median household income in 2009: $50,132

"At the end of 2011, Perry's state PAC reported $2.5 million on hand."

Was there a reason why he couldn't pay this with his own money?
