Dallas. Houston is too humid during the summer and Dallas at least has something resembling a winter...

I love my city to death but Houston is just too damn hot and humid for too damn long during the summer. ReppingDFW is right, at least Dallas has something of a solid winter.

**If it were possible to cancel out the wind I would vote for Amarillo as the best all around weather in Texas.

I'm assuming by "other" that we can pick any Texas city, so my vote is for Texarkana.

Houston has the best winters. Summers in all the cities blow in general.

Ironically, the areas of the state with the best overall weather (except winter) are some of the least populated.

I agree, but I don't know if there's much irony to it. (Assuming we're talking about the same places.)

Many of the western parts of the state are semi-desert. Even if the jobs were there, I don't think high populations are sustainable.
