Default Moving from Northeast to Texas

I am a black female (40s) professional (lawyer) who is considering relocating to TX from the Northeast. I've narrowed it down to Austin, San Antonio and Houston. I've visited all three over the past year, but I'm planning another visit to San Antonio & Houston.
I would appreciate comments on job availability, quality of life, housing costs, etc.
Any Jamaicans/Caribbean folks in the San Antonio/Austin area? Can you get a patty and a D&G kola champagne anywhere? Lol.
Thanks.

What part of the Northeast are you from? I am currently living in MD, I am also looking into relocating to Houston. From what I've read and heard, Houston has a large population of West Indians... you can also find a variety of foods there too.

Houston has a population of almost every ethnicity you can think of, candis! It's quite diverse here with people from all walks of life - one of my favorite things about it.

Irie, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston are all different, and great in various ways. What are you looking for, exactly, when you mention "quality of life"? All three cities have different things to offer, but all have a few things in common: great people, hot summers, good food, and relatively cheap housing!

San Antonio has the best housing prices by far. The population is not all that diverse, but it is becoming so. Houston has the better job market overall but im not sure about Lawyers.
