Default Information on Pleasanton,Texas

My family and I are looking to relocate to Pleasanton from Wyoming. We are very excited about it but would love more info and input from local residents. I'm a SAHM and was hoping to meet other moms who can give me some info on the hospitals, pre-schools, and local attractions for the kids. My husband is in the oil field and has had a few job offers but we are holding off on moving until late June early July because I'm due to give birth to our second child in the beginning of June. I'm from west Texas but not familiar with the area around San Antonio/South Texas. Thanks for taking the time to read and I would love some feed back!

Default Pleasanton

Howdy,
I am not a SAHM but my wife and I live in Pleasanton and raised
3 kids here. If you are considering buying a house here it would be best
to do so quickly as the Eagle/Ford play in the coming years will make
housing prices sky-rocket. Pleasanton has a good school system,
lots of churches, a new active city manager, is in the process of
building a down-town community center and library, mostly very
nice folks(and a few old crabs) and is an over-all nice place to live.
We are 40 minutes to San Antoinio Int. Airport, and 40 minutes into
one of the best medical centers in Texas. We have the luxury of being
able to use all the annenities of S.A. without having to live with the
traffic(although traffic has doubled here in the past year). We are 1 1/2
hours from Corpus, 3 1/2 hours to downtown Houston and about 1 1/2
hrs. to ConCan/Garner Park and the Frio River. Some of the biggest
whitetail bucks in the state call the brush country to the south home.
There are an abundance of jobs for individuals willing to do them and willing to stay substance free to keep them.
Hope that helps.
Adios
