We're considering a move for a job in Borger. One of us would be in Borger for a couple of months, prior to moving the house etc.

Can anyone recommend any options for short-term housing, ie - furnished apartment, long-term motel? I see a couple of extended stay hotels near the Amarillo airport, so this is an option. I'd prefer to stay close to the job, if possible, in Borger.

Well, the commute would be an hour or better from those extended stay hotels in Amarillo. Not saying it can't be done, just more than I would want to do. That said, I have several co workers that commute from Pampa to the east side of Amarillo each day, and have done so for years. That is (I think) a very slightly longer commute than going to Borger.

There might be some housing to be had in Sanford or Fritch, which are 1/2 way between Amarillo and Borger. The economy in those towns is suffering due to the drought, so you might find something there.

Good luck!
