Catman, yeah, it was 89 here in Abilene today. Yuck! BUT, a new weather pattern is forming in NM and next week will bring us daytime highs in the low 70s and nights in the low 50s. HOORAY!!!!!! I hope it reaches y'all, too!

It's the norm for October, and the humidity is coming back in full swing too. May to October in many parts of Texas is just hot, hot, and hotter.

I think if you want four real seasons you'll have to move to the Mid-Atlantic or the Midwest. As much as I love living in TX I sure miss the seasons in Virginia.

Swtlady, There are several Abilene threads if you do a search of the site. Since this isn't an Abilene thread, I'd rather not divert the topic.

Just saw the forecast for next week. We're going to be in the 60s during the day and 40s at night. The meteorologist said SNOW is forecast for North Texas!

Folks, Amarillo can get bone chilling cold for extended periods and definitely has some real Winters. Summers can be hot but not nearly as humid as in central, southern, and eastern Texas.
