Default Cities with oil jobs

I know Midland and Odessa have jobs. What other cities have oil field jobs for people with no experience? I'm looking for something in the $7-10/hour range with a lot of overtime.

Check out the Eagle Ford find in south Texas. I really am not sure, but you should be able to make that at least. However, you will likely need your CDL. Get that first, and you can start pretty quick. Unless you want to work some other job in the Midland area. One friend said he heard that Sonic was paying like $15 an hour in Midland. He said that they had to or no one would work for them, they'll just get an oil field job instead.

I don't have the money to get CDL training. I could get a CDL permit. Are there entry-level jobs -like water transfer operator- in San Antonio and Corpus Christi? I might look in the Midland/Odessa, but I don't know if I'd be able to find a place to live.

If you get a job at 7 dollars an hr you would be making less than minimum wage wouldnt you? If your thinking oil you should set your goals higher than 10 bucks an hr. before any OT

It depends on what part you want to work: midstream, exploration, administration, etc... Be prepared to live in a small town where rent is very expensive due to the housing shortage.

This website also has a list of companies that are operating in the area. Doing some research on their website may turn up additional jobs. I also recommend checking for any jobfairs. Hope this helps.
